PODCAST RECOMMENDATION
A podcast that I have been catching up on this week is called the Barracks Podcast and it comes from my friend’s Amanda Keene and Kirsten Aho. I enjoy their podcast because they are able to have authentic discussions about the church while at the same time having their genuine personalities shine through. They just started their season four of the podcast where they are focusing on the question of: Is there a place for me? Check out the Barracks podcast on all the major platforms and the link in the show notes!

PODCAST RECOMMENDATION
Hey Listeners! Some of you may have heard a big part of my story on how I started this podcast. During my day job I get to listen to podcasts all day long. The ones I really enjoy are ones that encompass someone’s story and their passion(s). Since I am an avid podcast listener I wanted to start sharing podcasts and podcast episodes that I have enjoyed and that I think you will enjoy as well.
One podcast that I am currently binging is The Dropout. I had started listening to this pod when it first came out and I recently saw that it covers her trial which already happened. Quick summary Elizabeth Holmes created Theranos, which was supposed to help blood testing be quick, cheaper and less painful. She was at one point deemed the youngest self-made female billionaire, but then she lost it. I enjoy this podcast because of the in depth research and interviews that this podcast walks us through as it unpacks this story. If you are interested in a gripping story of money, romance, tragedy and deception I highly recommend putting this in your podcast queue.

PODCAST RECOMMENDATION
This week I wanted to highlight both a podcast I enjoy and a book of liturgies that I am new to and enjoying as well. This comes in the form of Annie F Downs’ podcast called That Sounds Fun in Episode 289 with Douglas McKelvey, author of Every Moment Holy. In this episode Annie and Douglas have an honest conversation about the power of written down prayers, the need for prayer in grief, and how to create something that will outlast you. This is a beautiful conversation that I think you will love. See the link in the show notes.

PODCAST RECOMMENDATION
I love The Happy Hour Podcast hosted by Jamie Ivey which I have mentioned before on this podcast. During the happy hour they will discuss anything and everything just as if you were around the table with your own girlfriends. Jamie loves to connect with women and encourage them as they journey through life.
Today I wanted to share with you episode #377 with Gretchen Saffles who is an author and founder of the online community Well-Watered Women. In this episode, Gretchen talks about society’s criteria of a “good Christian woman” and how to combat that with God’s word. Gretchen also dives into the true meaning of a well-watered woman, and what it looks like to really be with Jesus. There is a quote that I have had on a sticky note on my laptop for the past several weeks from this episode when Gretchen said, “Contentment is not having more or having less, it is having Christ.” I would encourage you to give this episode a listen, I will link the podcast details in the show notes!
